There are quite large numbers of people that have different psychic capabilities. Some of these potential mystics have provided their assistance to law enforcers in solving various instances of kidnapping and mysterious murder cases and even locating untraced corpses. Though there are many law enforcers that deny that these psychic investigators can really help in solving mysterious criminal cases.
There are various types of abilities that are usually claimed by these psychic investigators, which may include psychometric studies that relates with findings psychically gained from various objects, post cognition which means telepathic perception of past events and also remote viewing. There are some psychic readers that may also use numerology, voodoo, and tarot reading. In some cases, the psychics may even try to communicate with soul of the deceased and murdered victims. These psychics may be able to foresee some facts that are unknown with police personnel, and solving some of the cases which were unsolved for many decades.
Psychic detectives have long been used in many horror and crime fictions and other literatures as well. One of the some famous characters that were created in late 1800’s was Flaxman Low. Other exciting characters include Grandin, Agent McClellan and Doctor Occult. There came a popular TV series named Psych that featured a psychic detective helping police officials in solving crimes which included great robberies, kidnappings, and even murders.
